HISTORIC SPACE
DOWNTOWN
Preservation Plaza was built in 1921, originally as the headquarters of the First National Bank with retail space and vaults on the level off Broadway Avenue. Today Preservation Plaza is seven floors and over 53,000 square feet of office and retail space in historic downtown Maryville, Tennessee. The Plaza pairs historic charm and views of the Smoky Mountains with all the convenience of a modern workspace. Suite 100 was the original grand lobby for the First National Bank. As a nod to the building’s history, the original bank vault adds character and intrigue to the space, offering an exciting opportunity for unique utilization.
Since 2020, Maryville and the surrounding areas have experienced sustained growth. New fiber internet and a strategic Main Street America plan have brought tech startups, new restaurants, and shops to the area. New housing development along the Greenbelt, and mixed-use spaces are being built to bring even more foot-traffic to downtown. A thriving seasonal Farmer’s Market, and events like Summer on Broadway, and Hops in the Hills make downtown a lively place.
